The 3F UL Lanshan 1 and 2 have rapidly gained popularity over the last few years. Hikers, backpackers, wild campers and bushcrafters have all been taking advantage of these ultralight tents at their fabulous budget busting price. The 3F UL Lanshan 1 Pro and 3F UL Lanshan 2 Pro are upgraded versions of the originals, with a few extra features.

The 3F UL Lanshan 1 Pro and 3F UL Lanshan 2 Pro are very similar, so we are going to take a look at the specs so you can compare, and see which may be right for you. Note, as usual, this is not a review – it’s a spec comparison.

Couple of quick things you should be aware of with the Lanshan tents (if you’re not already familiar with them) – you need to seam seal the tent yourself, and secondly the tent does not come with any poles – you need to use something like a couple of walking poles or a sticks.

What are the differences between the 3F UL Lanshan 1 Pro and the 3F UL Lanshan 1?

The Lanshan 1 Pro, as the name suggests, is a pro version of the Lanshan 1 and there are a few key differences to the Lanshan 1:

The Lanshan 1 Pro is a bit more expensive.
The Lanshan 1 Pro fly has been upgraded from PU Silicon Nylon to Double coated Silicon Nylon and is now 20D, upgraded from 15D.
In the Lanshan 1 Pro the inner layer and fly are now connected together as a kind of hybrid tent.
The Lanshan 1 Pro is lighter.
The Lanshan 1 Pro has more inner floor space.
The Lanshan 1 Pro is more robust and tear-resistant.

So basically, the Lanshan 2 Pro has slightly more internal space than the Lanshan 1 Pro, and both have more internal space than the original Lanshan 1 and Lanshan 2. Both tents are perfect for solo campers who want to go ultralight, on a budget. If you are a taller person you probably want to go for the Lanshan 2 Pro.
