Pomoly 1 person hot tents – Hex Solo, Yarn Solo and Hussar Ultralight summary
Pomoly tents seem to be excellent value, and you only have to check YouTube to see that many people rate them highly. They appear to be well made, have useful features and are priced competitively.
One feature we like is that they have two entrances. This is useful for ventilation and using different doors if the weather direction changes.
These Pomoly 1 person hot tents are listed as 4 season and we assume that is because they are warm when used with a stove. A tipi style tent does tend to perform well in high wind, and also sheds water well. However, they are likely suited to the woodland or valley camper – we wouldn’t like to be in one of these tents, or any hot tent for that matter, up in the hills in winter.
We contacted Pomoly to get the dimensions of the inner tents, but they haven’t supplied them as yet. These are important dimensions, particularly for tall people, so it’s frustrating that they are not provided. It would also be good to know what the mesh inner floor is made of and what its waterproof rating is so we can judge the suitability in certain weather conditions.
Another hot tent brand worth checking out is OneTigris. We recently did an article on the OneTigris Rock Fortress and have also written a OneTigris Smokey Hut vs Iron Wall comparison.
Hopefully this Pomoly 1 person hot tents – Hex Solo, Yarn Solo and Hussar Ultralight spec comparison will be useful if you are considering a Pomoly hot tent for solo use.
